“The Bollywood Brass Band is a truly exhilarating, rambunctious affair, with hypnotic Punjabi drumming, wailing soprano sax, Qawwalis, extracts from Bollywood films on a video screen in the background, and a band which obviously and noisily enjoyed themselves – and so did the audience” Artsworld
A truly amazing Festival opportunity for Surrey audiences to get a real flavour of the driving rhythms, tremendous energy and joyous contemporary culture that is Bollywood! The exuberant Bollywood Brass band are joined by Pakistani Sufi singer Rafakat Ali Khan on vocals and tireless Bollywood dancers, fusing bhangra rhythms with funky dhol drummers. This extraordinary mix of music, dance and live visuals that will have you dancing in the aisles and leave you breathless and spellbound. Accompanied by video projections from the original Bollywood films. Fusion Asia collaborates with the Guildord International Music Festival to celebrate the best in Asian fusion culture, style and flare.
